Rescue, Raise, Rehabilitate
& Release
“Welcome to Kangaroo Haven Incorporated! Here in the East Kimberley, we’re all about giving our injured and orphaned native wildlife a second chance at life in the wild. From the early morning bottle feeds to intensive rehabilitation, our ultimate goal is a successful release back home. But we don't stop there—we love bringing our community along for the journey! Through awesome sanctuary tours, school visits, hands-on youth programs, and local fundraising, we’re inspiring the next generation to love and protect Australia’s incredible wildlife.”

Welcome to
Kangaroo Haven Wildlife Rescue

Dedicated to Australian Wildlife
At Kangaroo Haven Wildlife Sanctuary, we strive to provide a nurturing environment for native wildlife in need. Our experienced team works diligently to ensure that every animal receives the care and rehabilitation they require to thrive. Mandy has been operating the Haven for 23 years and successfully released 882 macropods and numerous species of native fauna. The sanctuary is not home to just the Wallabies and Kangaroos though, Mandy has had an era of animals come in for care including - Brolga's, Jabiru's, Bilby's, Turtle's, Crocodiles, Wedge Tail Eagle's, Tawny Frog Mouth's, Sugar Gliders, Frilled Neck Lizards the list is endless and I'm not sure how she does it but she can remember every single ones names. Amazing!!!

Donations
We are run by Volunteers, so if you love animals & being outside, Mandy would love to hear from you. Give us a call & become part of it all!!

We encourage everyone to get involved in the care of all animals. If you see a kangaroo / wallaby on the road that's been hit by a car, REMOVE from road, (if safe to do so) STOP and CHECK the pouch - There could be a baby joey alive in the pouch, this also PROTECTS other species, such as birds of prey being hit by vehicles as well

Any donation is much appreciated!!!!
We can only operate with the generosity of the public. Our joey's are reared on special milk formula, as kangaroos are lactose intolerant. All donations go straight back into the haven to help with the cost of feeding, maintaining the enclosures & more importantly being able to successfully release our beautiful wildlife.
